A boomer myself, I’ve been writing and speaking about the Boomer Generation for 20 years. My first-ever book was sort of a fluke. Still, The Executive Bride: The Wedding Guide for the Working Woman, published by Bantam Press, addressed the needs of the first generation of boomer women in the workplace. In 2004, Looking Forward: An Optimists Guide to Retirement which was cited as recommended reading by the Wall St. Journal online, was in the vanguard of publications addressing the longevity of the baby boomer generation. I was honored to address the boomer generation’s interest in “giving back” to society through work, in The Boomers Guide to Good Works, written for the California-based nonprofit organization Civic Ventures, Inc.
